Yoga For Beginners - Prologue

Have you heard about yoga, but your first association is no? Read on.

This week I will convince you to yoga, and the next one will show you how to easily start your yoga adventure and not to be discouraged from the very beginning.

What is Yoga?

It is an ancient practice with origins in Indian philosophy. Yoga focus on physical exercises consisting of various postures and breathing techniques, which may improve physical and mental health.

You don't need to be flexible to do yoga. You don't need to have any special equipment. You can sign up for yoga classes in your city or do it at home. By doing yoga at home you can decide what exercises to do and how long the yoga session will last. However, by doing yoga in classes you have a chance to practice it under the guidance and supervision of a qualified trainer, also you have a chance to meet new people and integrate with them.

Physical Health

Thanks to regular yoga exercise, you will increase your vitality and improve:

  • Flexibility.

  • Balance.

  • Posture alignment.

  • Sleep quality.

  • Overall well-being.

Besides, you will reduce your weight and chronic pain, such as lower back pain.

What you will not notice with the naked eye and it is equally important is that yoga thins the blood. As a result, the risk of heart attack and stroke can decrease.

I will tell you something. If you practice yoga long enough, you will feel much better. Invest in yourself. Invest in a better future.

Mental Health

Stress, anxiety, and depression can happen to anyone.

Yoga is not just exercise. You have the chance to relax your body and mind. Such body-mind exercise triggers neurohormonal mechanisms. In this way, it can improve managing stress, increase positive emotions, and help maintain mental balance. It also increases the feeling of relaxation, improves self-confidence, and is a stimulus for an optimistic view of life.

By practicing yoga, the bond between body and mind strengthens. Your body not only looks better, but you also feel better in it. This fact will make you accept yourself. Also, the awareness of working on yourself, creating a healthy body, and improving your mental state puts you in a good mood.

If you wake up in the morning and feel hopeless, if at the beginning of the day you already know that the rest of the day will not be better, start the day with yoga. Your life won't change for the better if you don't become better.

Meditation

After every workout, regardless of its intensity, the body needs to recover. Meditation after a series of physical exercises is a great idea. Not only your body will rest but also your mind. All you need is a comfortable space where nothing will disturb you.

Look inside yourself. Forget about everyday matters. Everything that you want is inside you. Even a few minutes a day of meditation can have an impressive impact on your life.

Give yourself a chance. 15 minutes is 1% of your daily time. Practice yoga and meditation for 15 minutes every day for 7 days, to see if this is for you. Arrange yourself 15 minutes a day next week and a place where you can practice it. Next week, I will show you a 15-minute plan of what to do step by step so that you can easily start your yoga adventure.
